The Beginning in Egypt
Setcore Petroleum Services was established in Egypt in 1985 by the late Mr Said El Tawil. This marked the foundation of the company’s commitment to deliver safe and reliable oilfield solutions in Egypt and the MENA Region. However, the group’s origins date back to 1810 with the establishment of the El Tawil Leather Tannery in Alexandria which was nationalized by the Egyptian government in 1962. In 1972, Mr. Said El Tawil founded one of Egypt’s first private sector business groups which evolved to became a leader in several industries such as food processing and textiles. Today, Setcore proudly embodies the values of our founder of excellence, integrity and perseverance.
Regional Expansion and Service Diversification
Setcore significantly expanded its operations by introducing advanced wireline logging services to the Egyptian market while also extending tubular inspection services to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) through a collaboration with Saudi Aramco. These efforts broadened the company’s portfolio and enhanced its service capabilities across the region.
Entry into UAE and Kuwait
Setcore established operations in both the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Kuwait, further solidifying its presence in the Middle East. This expansion allowed the company to deliver high-quality services to a broader client base across the region.
